A woman has broken down in tears in a dramatic video following Boris Johnson’s resignation as MP – claiming “Rishi Sunak set him up”.
The former Prime Minister announced he would be resigning as MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip in a 1,000-word statement on Friday evening.
Following the announcement, GB News went to the West London constituency to see what the people living there had to say about Mr Johnson, who has represented the area since the 2015 General Election.
In the video, the woman starts off composed, saying that she thinks the resignation is a “bad decision”.
She then talks about how the former Tory leader helped her when she was facing eviction and how he had been helping her for seven years.

The footage then cuts to the woman now in tears as she declares “I think he has been set up, I think Rishi Sunak set him up to lose his job”.
Another man also came out in support of Mr Johnson, saying he believed it was a “stitch-up”, although he did not specifically blame the current Prime Minister.
He added: “Everybody has forgotten what Boris did in terms of the vaccination and they’re focussing on something which is totally wrong in my opinion and that is Partygate.
“It is over, it is done with. We need to get on with our lives.”
Not everyone was so forgiving of Mr Johnson, who was being investigated by the Commons Privilege Committee over claims he had misled MPs when he offered assurances that Covid rules were following in Downing Street while parties were taking place.
One woman told GB News how her husband had been in a care home and she had been unable to see him for months, but that “he [Mr Johnson] could have parties”.
Another man was straight to the point, describing Mr Johnson as a “liar and a crook” and saying it was “about time”.
There will now be a by-election in the constituency, which has been held by the Conservative Party since it was created in 2010.
Two other by-elections are also due to take place following the resignation of Johnson allies Nadine Dorries in Mid-Bedfordshire and Nigel Adams in Selby and Ainsty in North Yorkshire.
