SAM Thompson has swapped now-ex girlfriend Zara McDermott for best pal Pete Wicks, with the 28-year-old star moving in with Pete for Channel 4’s celebrity series of The Circle.
It was revealed yesterday that Sam and Zara had called time on their romance after 16 months together – and Sam wasted no time in moving out of the flat he once shared with the Love Island beauty.

According to reports, the Made In Chelsea favourite is filming for the new TV series, which will see him and 31-year-old Pete share an apartment in the famous block of flats as they communicate with other celebrity contestants through an internal social media system.
A source explained: “Sam has swapped Zara for Pete as his new housemate this week.
“He’s been living with Pete in a block of flats filming The Circle with no access to the outside world, which may have come as a relief following his split from Zara.”
The insider added to MailOnline: “Sam’s bromance with Pete really blossomed during their time together on Celebs Go Dating, so they were more than happy to compete on The Circle as a duo.”

The two men are not strangers to helping each other through love issues, with Towie regular Pete often seen coaching Sam on how to woo the ladies when he was single.
And once Sam shacked up with Zara, he returned to Celebs Go Dating to offer his single pal some advice on how to secure a girl.
It was previously reported that Sam and Zara had split after she cheated on him with “someone in the music industry” while competing on Celebrity X Factor last year.

Although it happened several months ago, MailOnline report that Sam only just learned about her alleged infidelity – and has been left “distraught”.
They ended their romance after a seemingly loved-up trip to Mykonos, with their relationship said to have taken a turn during lockdown as they constantly argued while stuck indoors together.
In July, Sam confessed that he was thinking of proposing to Zara – who’d even joined him and his sister Louise on the reality show that made them famous, Made In Chelsea.

An insider said yesterday that Sam had “gone away” to clear his head after the split, and quality time with Pete away from social media will no doubt be exactly what he needs.
This is the first celebrity series of The Circle, with Richard Madeley briefly appearing in last year’s civilian series in a special twist.
The show will air in January as part of Channel 4’s Stand Up To Cancer campaign, with Denise Van Outen, Charlotte Crosby, Saffron Baker, and Ru Paul’s Baga Chipz among the other stars to be taking part.
Contestants will not know who they are in the competition with, and each star has the option to fake an identity and “catfish” the others in a bid to win.
