Sally Nugent: BBC Breakfast host sparks concerns on Carol Kirkwood's post 'So sad'

BBC Breakfast’s weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, 58, shared a picture of herself and journalist Charlotte Simpson pretending to cry at Wimbledon today as they missed their co-star Sally Nugent.

Carol jokingly pretended to wipe away tears while her co-star pulled a sad face to the camera, in view of her 184,000 followers today.

“The weather presenter shared the tweet, with the caption: “Sallllyyyyy @sallynugent xxx.”

Sally replied: “Ah no [Crying face]. So sad not to be there x.”

Fans of the pair appeared to be confused by her tweet as one commented: “Eh wazzup?”(sic)

She added of the weather: “The forecast is a blustery one with some rain. The best of the sunshine will be in the south east.”

Sally also caught up with Judy Murray from the studio, who discussed the changes made to Wimbledon this year.

It’s not the first time Sally and Carol have been separated for filming during the Wimbledon season.

Last year, Carol shared another tweet about missing her co-star at the event.

Back then, Sally was filming for a segment on the show in France, while Carol filmed from Wimbledon.
