Prince Harry will risk “the end of his relationship” with the Royal Family if he choses to not attend the King’s Coronation on May 6. Last month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex confirmed, via a statement, that they had received an invite to Westminster Abbey this spring. However, the pair opted against revealing if they would be joining the Royal Family for the King’s big day.
Royal author Alexander Larman recently told US Weekly that he believes the Coronation will provide the 38-year-old with a chance to reunite with the royals.
He said: “If he [doesn’t] go to the Coronation, he’s essentially saying, ‘I am not gonna have any relationship with my family ever again.'”
In March, after speculation over whether the King would snub his younger son and daughter-in-law of an invite, the couple confirmed an invitation had been received.
A statement from a spokesperson for the couple, read: “I can confirm the Duke has recently received email correspondence from His Majesty’s office regarding the Coronation.

“An immediate decision on whether the Duke and Duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us at this time.”
Harry and Meghan have been involved in a very public dispute with the Royal Family for some time, particularly since their royal exit in 2020.
During an ITV interview, which coincided with the release of Harry’s memoir Spare, Harry was asked whether he could see a reconciliation with the Royal Family in the future.
Harry told interviewer, and long-time friend, Tom Bradby that the “door is always open” and that “the ball is in their court”.

With less than six weeks to go until the big day, the couple have still remained tight-lipped on their plans for May 6.
Another reason that a question mark hangs over their appearance is because their son Archie’s birthday falls on the same day.
Archie, who was born in 2019, will turn four on May 6.
Royal expert Charles Rae recently told GB News that this could be a “perfect excuse” for Meghan to not attend the Coronation.
He said: “It may well be that she’ll stay behind and enjoy the celebrations with her son.”
