A killer who gunned down an 8-year-old boy and four others “could be anywhere” as police scramble to hunt him down.
Authorities are on the search for Francisco Oropeza, 38 who is suspected of carrying out a horrific shooting in the town of Cleveland, Texas.
According to San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers, the murderer “could be anywhere now”.
Police are currently searching within a 10 to 20 mile radius of the crime scene 45 miles north of Houston.
Murder suspect Oropeza is a Mexican national who is believed to have fled the country.
He is facing five counts of murder and an arrest warrant has been issued for him for which a judge has assigned a $5million bond.
Authorities named the five victims at a press conference on Saturday evening: Sonia Argentina Guzman, 25; Diana Velazquez Alvarado, 21; Julisa Molina Rivera, 31; Jose Jonathan Casarez, 18; Daniel Enrique Laso, 8.
The killer carried out the attack on a family after they asked him to stop firing rounds in his garden because they were trying to sleep, police say.
