In late 2019, the TV star announced she was stepping down from the role ahead of the first winter series of Love Island after she was charged with assault.
A Met Police spokesman said at the time: “Caroline Flack, 40, of Islington was charged on Friday, December 13 with assault by beating.”
Caroline pleaded not guilty to the charges at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on December 23 and was due to stand trial on March 4, 2020.
The television presenter was found dead in her London home on February 15, 2020.
She died by suicide at the age of 40.
The inquest into her death will resume today.
